Kids College coming to Rector

The deadline for enrollment has been extended to June 26 for Rector Kids College. There are still several openings for the sessions, which will be held at the NEA Innovative Training Center in Down town Rector and the Rector Community Center.

The event is Monday through Thursday, June 29 through July 2.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 7:55 a.m. each day and classes will begin at 8. Pickup will be promptly at 12:30 p.m.

Cost for the Kids College is $45 per child, with the second child registering for $40. Class sizes are limited to 25 each. Cash or checks will be accepted with the checks made payable to BRTC/GCITC.

Students must be at least 5-11 in age, but the Rector session is being opened to some Pre-K students.

The registration packet may be downloaded at www.neaitc.org or persons may obtain one at the training center.

Among the activities are:

Monday -- Solar System, Woodworking, Lee's Karate and Fire Department.

Tuesday -- Ambulance Service, Electrical Safety, Rescue Squad and Bonnie the Balloon Lady.

Wednesday -- National Guard Rockwall, Air Evac Helicopter, Scrapbook Class, NASCAR Simulator and DARE.

Thursday -- AR Pediatric Dental Clinic, Storm Tracker, NAFA Pet Safety, Chemistry Magic and CPR RAP.
