Lola Mae Rowton of Rockford, Illinois, passed away March 17, 2009, at the age of 89.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ruth Gardner; her husband, Peter Rowton; a son, Peter Rowton, and

two brothers, Donald and Raymond Gardner.

Lola is survived by a son, Wayne Rowton of Rector; four daughters, Judy Scoby of Indianapolis, Ohio, Jo Alice Curry of Leaf River,

Illinois, Cynthia Armstrong of Rockford, Illinois, and Juanita Nilges of La Moille, Illinois; two sisters, Dolly Wagster of Rector and Inez Hulvey of Festus, Missouri, and a brother, L.J. Gardner of Little Rock.

Memorial services will be May 16, 2009, at Woodland Heights Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with David Floyd officiating.
