Don Dillard

Don Dillard, 76, of McDougal, died Thurs. May 7, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mr. Dillard was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed deer hunting and playing with his grandchildren. He was a farmer and a member of Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church in McDougal.

In April 1955 he was united in marriage to Opal Lucille (Garrett) Dillard. She survives.

Other survivors include children Rudy Dillard and Terry Dillard of Paragould, Kathy Flannery of McDougal, Connie Stadler of Fayetteville and David Dillard of Campbell, Mo.; brothers Bill Dillard of Houston, Texas, Millard Dillard of Morehouse, Mo., and Jerry Dillard of High Ridge, Mo.; sisters Ann Ramber of Houston, Texas, and Mildred Forrest of Corning; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dollie Dillard, and siblings James, Charles, Helen and Ellen.

Visitation was Sunday 5-9 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Services were Monday 10 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Self and Rev. Mike Chadwick officiating. Burial was at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal.
