Clarence Edward Moore

Clarence Edward Moore, 86, of Charlotte, Tenn., formerly of Rector, died Wednesday, April 15, at National Health Care Center in Dickson, Tenn.

Born Feb. 13, 1923, in Knob to the late Tommy and Tolie Moore, he was retired from Uniroyal, was a WWII Navy Veteran, retired from Emerson Electric in Kennett after working there 17 years and was a member of Boydsville Baptist Church and also attended the Grace Baptist Church in Dickson, Tenn.

He was married to Mary Kilbreth Moore for 55 years. She passed away in 2002.

Also preceding him in death were one brother and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jacky and Darlene Moore of Marmaduke and Macky and Brenda Moore of Bono; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Tony Speer of Charlotte, Tenn.; one brother, Virgil Moore of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Edith McElyea of Rockford, Ill., and Desma Herren of Paragould; five grandchildren, Lisa Woolery, David Moore, Amy Mross, Rachel Donahue and Daniel Speer, and four great-grandchildren, Sarah Hefner, Hailey Mross, Rebecca Woolery and Keith Donahue.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Jeff Lankford officiating with burial in Mars Hill Cemetery in Crockett.

Pallbearers were Jacky Moore, Macky Moore, Daniel Speer, David Moore, Paul Mross and Tom Woolery.
