Lady Cougars pound Manila

The Lady Cougars imposed their will upon the visiting Manila Lady Lions in softball Tuesday in Rector. The girls in blue cruised to an impressive 20-5 win.

Hillary Calhoun brought the big stick on the afternoon, hitting a triple and two singles while knocking in five runs. Also standing out at the plate for Rector were Stephanie DeMent and Rebecca Dodd. DeMent had two doubles, a single and four RBIs. Dodd added two singles and three RBIs for the Lady Cougars.

Freshman Amanda Bradford was solid on the mound for Rector, allowing five hits while striking out four batters.
