Brian Keith McKenney, 35, of Rector died Friday, July 25, at his home.

Born April 20, 1973, in Joplin, Mo., to Lowell and Deanne (Hardin) McKenney, he was of the First General Baptist faith and was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delmar Lee Hardin and Mary Etta Hardin, and grandfather, Frank McKenney.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Delayne McKenney and wife Patricia; a sister, Lynette Beard and husband Mike; a nephew, Alex McKenney, all of Newport; his grandmother, Opal McKenney of Piggott, and many other family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 Monday, July 28, 2008, at The First General Baptist Church in Rector with Brothers Marston Carpenter and Kenny Burns officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Eddie Lovins, Randy Beck, Carl Beck, Davon Burdin, Chris Lane, Steve Champ and Sonny Potts.
