Gatha Martene Davis, 87, of Port Murray, N.J, formerly of Rector, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, N.J.

Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 24, 1920, to the late Robert and Lula (Edwards) Travillian in Rector.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Davis; three brothers, Doyle, Dewayne and Jim Travillian, and one sister, Geraldine Beal.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane Wintrode of Marina Odrey, Calif., Judy Steele of Port Murray, N.J., and Colleen Stinar of Silver City, N.M., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the First Baptist Church in Rector. Interment will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
