Nettie Faye Bowman, 69, of Marmaduke died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Evergreen Healthcare in Rector after an extensive illness.

Born July 7, 1938, to the late Rev. John Markin and Gracie Markin, she was a lifelong area resident, a member of the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke and a retired pharmacy sales clerk.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Denise P. Bowman; five brothers, Derring, Dual, Oschal, Neal and James Markin, and one sister, Paula Poe.

Survivors include her husband, Nolan Bowman of Marmaduke; two sisters, Pat Markin Keith of California and Lori Jean Markin Challenger of Kentucky.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Faith Funeral Home of Manila was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke.
