Homer Cyrl Vaught, 92, of Wappapello, Mo., formerly of Rector, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Puxico Nursing Home.

He was born Sept. 28, 1915, to the late James and Luna (Adams) Vaught.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Vaught, and four brothers, Burl, Kenny, Johnny and D.J. Vaught.

He is survived by his four daughters, Kaye Walker of St. Louis, Carolyn Campbell of Wappapello, Brenda Moore of Salem and Rebecca Politte of St. Louis; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and one sister, Betty Bateman of Florida.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with David Floyd officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Rector.
