Dorothy Dean McAbee, 80, of Paragould died Wednesday, May 21, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

She was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Parkdale, Ark., to the late Hugh Mac Lane and Grace (Jennings) Lane.

She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Barton McAbee

Survivors include a brother, Willie Lane of Abbeville, La.; a sister, Merlene Baskins of Wasilla, Alaska; a niece, Robin Toombs of Caraway, and a nephew, Jimmy Lane of Caraway.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, with David Floyd officiating.

Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
