Born Jan. 4, 1925, he was of the Assembly of God faith, a retired body and fender repairman, an avid fisherman and a member of Dannelly Masonic Lodge.
He was married July 23, 1943, to his first wife, Margie Golden. On Nov. 4, 1967, he married his second wife, Hope Guess, who preceded him in death. In the mid-1980's he took Martha K. (Twitty) Jones as his companion until her death in 2005.
He also was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles William and Frances Ethel (Boggs) Allison; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Clifford and Emma Allison and J.P. Allison; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pearl Allison, Eva and Bernie Caldwell and Opal and James Dillard; two sons-in-law, Maurice Sindeff and Michael Clark, and one great-granddaughter, Shilynne Johnson.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and J.W. Hirons of Wynne; one brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Charlene Allison of Searcy; one other sister-in-law, Hortense Allison of Marmaduke; his first wife, Margie Allison of Long Beach, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie and Susan Allison of Paragould; two daughters, Doris Ann (Watson) Sindeff of Long Beach and Deborah Adele (Avery) Clark of Marmaduke; seven grandchildren, Shannon Allison, Misty (Allison) Gilbee, Teresa (Watson) Bryan, Tammy (Watson) Knuth, Diana Sindeff, Philip Sindeff and Matthew Avery; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett, Mo. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with J.W. Hirons officiating.
