Charles Martin

Charles Donald Martin, 76, of Jonesboro, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Paragould.

He was born May 20, 1931, in Rector to the late Fred and Vera Martin. He was self-employed in the floor covering business with Larry Newman.

Also preceding him in death were a brother, Don Martin; his youngest son, Chuck Martin, and one grandson, Thad Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Janice Martin of Jonesboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jon and Margaret Martin of Jonesboro and Robert and Cindy Martin of Midway; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Al Puente of Groves, Texas, and Louisa and Paul Simth of Monticello; one sister and her husband, Donzie and Jullius Taylor of Parker, Colo., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Ryan McRae officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
