Billy Herbert Thompson, 64, of Rector died Friday, March 14, 2008, at his home.

Born Dec. 24, 1943, in Rector to Sylvia Vergene Reed Thompson and the late Ericene Thompson, he was a retired supervisor of Southland Dairy Corp. in Memphis and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rector.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Virgene Thompson of Rector; one son, Billy Gene Thompson of Big Sandy, Tenn.; one daughter, Barbara Ann Graham of Memphis; two brothers, Robert Dale Thompson of Big Sandy, Tenn., and James Albert Thompson of Springs, Texas; two sisters, Jannette Abernathy of Germantown and Deborah Marie Miller of Bentonville, and one grandson, Eric Graham.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Rev. Ardell Polk officiating.
