Born Aug. 20, 1943, in Hickoria, to the late Jessie and Bessie May (Dobbins) Small, he was owner of Northeast Arkansas Monument Company and a member of Hickoria Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and talking on his C.B. radio. He was married to Betty Fay Brady Sept. 29, 1963.
Also preceding him in death was one brother, Mintrel Small, and two sisters, Hazel French and Opal Howell.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lendell and Mary Small of Boydsville and Harold and Mary Small of Pollard; three brothers, John Small and Charley Small, both of Corning, and Junior Small of Greenway; one sister, Lucy Banks of Seymour, Mo., and six grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Tyler and Natalie Small and Zach and Alex Redmon.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Jack Bearden and Todd Milburn officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Ermert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Nunnery, Eugene Yancey, Freddy Herren, Gary Loveless, Heath Brady and Andy Small. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny McDaniel and Dan Gillian.
