Virginia Hamra "Jena" Robertson, 85, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Rector, died Sunday, Feb. 24, at a Nashville area hospital following a brief illness.

Born May 15, 1922, in Gibson, Mo., Mrs. Robertson lived in Rector from 1953 to 1964. A talented pianist and organist, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rector, where she taught a Sunday School class.

She was a widow and had been living with her daughter, Jan Hamra Carter, in Nashville for a number of years.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan, a daughter, Jill Brooks, also of Nashville, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 27) at Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Rector Helping Hands Fund.
