Brenda Kay Newman McEntyre, 54, of Paragould died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born July 16, 1953, in Kennett, Mo., to the late George and Sarah Newman, she was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Ken Newman, and one nephew, Rodger Dale Newman.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie McEntyre of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Jonathan Weese and Kerry and Jason Miller, all of Paragould; five brothers, Jim, Don, Bill and George Newman, all of Paragould, and Rick Newman of Rector; three sisters, Shirley Holder of Fresno, Calif., Gwen Ray of Paragould and Donna Mullins of Gainesville, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shannon Morgan and Rev. Bill Newman officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Rodney Newman, Trevor Newman, Tommy Newman Sr., Steven Powers, Larry Cox, Gary Huckabay, Danny Sanders and Major Ray.
