Verba Lee Walker, 85, of Rector died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born Oct. 1, 1922, to the late Albert and Mae Farley in the Boydsville community. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Boydsville.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Walker; one son, Donnie Walker, and one grandson, Warren Walker.

She is survived by a son and wife, Delaney and Doris Walker of Corning; one daughter and husband, Angie and Larry Walker of Knobel; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Walker of Corning; five grandchildren, Wade, Derek, Cindy, Zane and Justin, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 6) at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Jack Bearden officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 noon today at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery.
