Arvilene Marcelle (Bradsher) Hardin

Arvilene Marcelle (Bradsher) Hardin, 80, of Piggott, formerly of Marmaduke, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Piggott Community Hospital.

Mrs. Hardin was born Feb. 9, 1927, to the late Arvin and Cleoffie Starnes Bradsher. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed writing poetry, singing and volunteering at nursing homes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J.D., Chester and Marlin Bradsher, and one sister, Veneda Hardin.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie Hardin; two sons, Ronnie and Roger Hardin of Piggott, and four sisters, Vaudene Hardin of St. Louis, Merley Cowder of St. Charles, Orlena Rose of Marmaduke and Sheron Bradsher of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke with Rev. Bill Newman officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Ramer's Chapel near Marmaduke.
