Wanda Lee Gatewood Hardin

Wanda Lee Gatewood Hardin, 79, of Marmaduke died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at her home.

She was born in Lafe to the late James and Nancy Belle (Beaton) Stephens and was a member of the Gravel Hill General Baptist Church, but attended the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvel Gatewood and George Hardin; two brothers, Vernon and James "Ras" Stephens, and two sisters, Arlene Ragle and Iva Jamison.

Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Terry and Sondra Gatewood of Raleigh, N.C., and Larry and Brenda Gatewood of Kennett, Mo.; a son, Mike Gatewood of Batesville; a daughter, Deanna Dover of Rogers; a daughter and her spouse, Tricia and Mark Hedrick of Cabot; three step-children, Ted Hardin of Jonesboro, Steve Hardin of Corning and Lisa Goodpasture of Maumelle; two brothers, Thelbert Stephens and Eugene Stephens of Paragould; four sisters, Alma Smith of Senath, Mo., Catherine Gerdes of Jonesboro, Velma Smith of Marmaduke and Loretta Smith of Paragould; 11 grandchildren, Chris, Heather, Ashley, Jeff, Eric, Tyler, Morgan, Christine, Dillon, Hillary and Zac, five great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Interment was in Gravel Hill Cemetery at St. Francis.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Marmaduke First Baptist Church Future Needs Fund.
