Born March 7, 1921, in Ponotoc, Miss., to the late Wilson D. and Anna Bell Turner Lindsey, he was married to Margaret Rutledge on May 22, 1942.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Marie Crim, Lotus Lindsey, Anna Lee Tutor, Buneva Marshall, Willonet Utley and Jewell Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of Rector; one son, James Lowell Lindsey of Rector; one daughter, Jane Ann Foster of Rector; one sister, Fannie Tripett of Dexter, Mo.; four grandchildren, Billie Jane Farley, Becky Lindsey, Michael Lindsey and Leah Ford, and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Mo., with Rev. Adrian Parker officiating. McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
