Born April 19, 1915, in Marmaduke to the late Louis Bozrah Farmer and Vessie Vee Hampton Farmer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and needlework. She was a charter member of White Oak General Baptist Church in Rector, which was organized Aug. 21, 1939. She was listed as the ninth member. She also was a member of New Life Assembly Church of Jonesboro.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Luster Ray Crain and Ralph Earl Crain; one daughter, Carolyn June Crain; one brother, Ochel Vernon Farmer, and three sisters, Dolly Mae Farmer, Orpha Eudell Farmer and Odessa Farmer Nations Franklin.
Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Cleatus Luster Crain; one son, Gaylon Crain and wife Cathy; one daughter, Cleata Daniel and husband James; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Miller Crain, all of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, David Daniel, Stan Daniel, Karen Daniel White, Ralph Crain Jr., Brian Crain, Clay Crain and Stephanie Crain Busch; 10 great-grandchildren, Matt Daniel, Josh Daniel, Meredith Daniel, Madison Daniel, Dustin and Zac White, Jonathan Crain, Kaylee Crain, Kirk Busch and Connor Crain; one great-great granddaugther, Finley Daniel; one nephew, Johnny Nations, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould with Rev. Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and honorary pallbearers were her other grandchildren.
