Gean Sipes, 81, formerly of Rector, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Piggott Community

Hospital. He was living at Murphy Health and Rehab in Piggott.

He was born April 3, 1926, in Gosnell and was a disabled veteran of the Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Sipes, and a grandson, Jason DeLong.

Survivors include two sons, Harrison Sipes of Illinois and Jeff Sipes of Minnesota; two daughters, Regina Wilkey of Illinois and Karen Jo Meredith of Rector; one brother, Loften Sipes of Illinois; nine grandchildren, Cory Meredith, Micheal Meredith, Joshua Meredith, Ford Cullen, Matthew Wilkey, Kelly DeLong, Christina Grinderslev, Phillip Sipes and Jeff Sipes Jr., and three great-grandchildren, Paige Sipes, Cody Sipes and Amber Sipes.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with David Floyd officiating. Interment followed at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
