Euthel Walter, 98, of Kennett, Mo., formerly of Marmaduke, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Effie (Vaught) Houston; her husband, Coy Walter, who died Sept. 6, 1994; a son, Cleatis Walkter; four brothers, Wilbur, Eulas, Latrell and Bernell Houston, and two sisters, Dee Houston and Ruby Clayton.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Coy "Jerry" and Anita Walter of Middleburg, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mavis and Bill Kildow of Kennett; one brother, Elton Houston of Waterford, Mich., 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 12) at the First United Methodist Church in Marmaduke with Lynn McClure and Willyne Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Cudd Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
