He was born Jan. 20, 1957, to Doyle and Lillian Vaughn. He enjoyed riding horses, riding motorcycles with the Handicappers and going to rodeos. He had been a welder at L.A. Darling Factory for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Doyle Vaughn; a brother, Marvin Vaughn, and a brother-in-law, Ted Gregory.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Vaughn of Rector; a son, Matthew Vaughn of Rector; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Joe Gilbee of Rector; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Shadow McDaniel of Paragould; his mother, Lillian Vaughn of Rector; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Verlin Covert of Rector; five grandchildren, Zachary, Justin and Landon Gilbee, and Tyler and Garron McDaniel; special friends, Jerry and Tracy Hoepfl, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the First General Baptist Church in Rector with Bro. Ernie Rinks officiating. Interment was in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
