Marguerite French, 88, of Rector died Monday, July 23, 2007, at her home.

A lifetime resident of Rector, she was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Rector to the late R.A. and May Cossey. She was a housewife and a member of the Rector First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Desimond French; five brothers, Harry, Ivo, Buddy, Ora and Junior Cossey, and one sister, Cleo McInturff.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Judy French of Rector; one daughter, Jo Carolyn French of Denver, Colo.; one grandson, Kevin French, and one great-granddaughter, Madison French.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, at the Rector First United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Pallbearers will be Kevin French, Tommy Huggins, Darrell Speer, Avery George, Sam Cossey and Bill Cossey.

Irby Funeral Home of Rector is in charge of arrangements.
