Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Hunter, Ark., to the late Lillian and Lee Coleman, he was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired saw filer with Paragould Wood Products and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Coleman of the home; one son, Darrell Coleman of Marmaduke; three daughters, Teresa Rodriguez of Joliet, Ill., Sheila Lindsey and Donna Coleman, both of Paragould; one brother, Bruce Coleman of Tichnor, Ark.; three sisters, Sheila Gill of Reno, Nev., and Peggy Kincade and Sue Chipley, both of Crescent City, Calfi.; one aunt, Marie Phillips, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Hunter Cemetery at Hunter.
Pallbearers were Norman Batten, Mike Boyd, Darrell Coleman, David Stanfill, Charley Murray, Bobbie Drope and Avery Wogmon. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Carter, Christopher Robinson, Bill Spurlock, Scott Miller and Levi Hendrix.
