Danny Donaldson, 71, of Palestine, died suddenly and unexpectedly Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City.

Born May 19, 1936, in Rector to the late Byron and Lola Ahlf Donaldson, he had lived in Forrest City most of his life. He was a retired vice president of operations for G.E.S., Inc., a veteran of the Army and a member of the First Baptist Church in Palestine.

Mr. Donaldson married Esther Dennis in 1958. She preceded him in death in 2001.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Donaldson of Wynne; a daughter, Dana Totty of Bartlett, Tenn., and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Palestine. Burial was in Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
