Thomas "Tom" Walker Pratt

Thomas "Tom" Walker Pratt, 86, of Lake City, formerly of Rector, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Lakeside Nursing Center.

Born Jan. 25, 1921, in Brigton, Ark., to the late W.W. Pratt and Katie Bell Shatley Pratt, he was a carpenter and painter.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Gilkerson Pratt, in April 2005, and one sister, Ollie Edgin.

Survivors include two sons, Lindell and Merla Pratt and Terry Pratt, both of Jonesboro; one daughter, Barbara and Leon Johnson of Maryland Heights, Mo.; three brothers, Willie Pratt, Arvel Pratt and Glen Pratt, all of Rector; one sister, Eula Bell Reynolds of Pea Ridge; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Roden and Rev. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Lindell Pratt, Bill Pratt, Eddie Williams, Kevin Johnson, Kevin Pratt and Lance Johnson.
