Mamie Seen Glover

Mamie Seen Glover, 92, of Murphy Health and Rehabilitation in Piggott, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at Piggott Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 30, 1914, in Piggott, to the late Oscar Olen and Nola Green "Davis" Gordon. She was married to Ural Lester Glover, who also preceded her in death, as did three brothers, Marshall Gordon, Delbert Gordon and Eldridge Gordon, and two sisters, Myrl Gordon and Lee Gordon Newman.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Wright's Chapel United Methodist church in Piggott.

She is survived by four sons, Carl Glover of Marmaduke, Charles Glover of Independence, Mo., Gaylon Glover and wife Brenda of Holcomb and Van Glover and wife Linda of Piggott; one daughter, Genada Glover of Houston; one brother, Pharis Gordon of Dallas; six grandchildren, Anthony Glover, Gene Glover, Todd Glover, Tracy Glover, Tina Bennett and Ronnie Dragg, six great-grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation was Saturday, June 9, and services were Sunday, June 10, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Rev. Willyne Jordan officiating. Burial followed in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Anthony Glover, Gene Glover, Todd Glover and Tracy Glover.
