Lenora Geraldean Rowlett, 83, of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., formerly of Rector, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Sunset House in Los Angeles, Calif.

She was born March 14, 1924, in Rector to the late J.C. "Pud" and Verdie L. Gordon. She was a homemaker and of the First General Baptist faith.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Carl Rowlett.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carletta and Jerry Vaughan of St. Louis, Mo., Deauronda Harmon of Denver, Colo., and Yuvonnia and Bobby Abernathy of Palos Verdes Estates, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
