Eva Florence Bricker

Eva Florence Bricker, 89, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born Nov. 19, 1917, in Piggott, to the late Efrus and Mary Elizabeth (Jackson) Jordan and was married to Harley Burdette Bricker on Nov. 6, 1938, in Piggott. She was a retired nurse, having been employed by St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lutie Jane Jordan Wood and Loris Firn Jordan Throgmorton; two brothers, William James Jordan and Fines Rayman Jordan; one sister-in-law, Foye A. Bricker Speer, and step-mother Clara Parrish Spicer Jordan.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyclyn Bricker Olds and husband Thomas F.; three grandchildren, Timothy R. Olds and wife, Sandra K., Tami J. Olds Carroll, Yvonne R. Olds Nolte and husband, Robert A.; seven great-grandchildren, Heather R. Olds, Harlee R. Olds, Courtney A. Carroll, Moriah J. Carroll, Justin T. Nolte, Jess A. Nolte and Jake R. Nolte; sisters-in-law, Camilla Bricker Cox of Piggott, Jane Bricker Groves of Valparaiso, Ind., Coleen Bricker Arthur of Rolla, Mo., and Getonia Bricker Clark of Florissant, Mo.

Other local family members surviving are Etta Lee Dowdy Jordan, Joel Dean Jordan and wife Yong Hui Min, Betty Lois Ward Burdin and husband Rollen, Florence Eason, Alicetene Jordan and husband Donald, Eafrus Jordan and wife Ann, Gail Jordan Waggoner and husband John, Sharon Jordan Eason and husband Rogers, along with a half-sister, Flora Spicer Holland of Corning; Don and Irma Throgmorton of Montgomery, Mo., Margie Throgmorton Bennett and husband John of Bluff Dale, Texas, and Faye Throgmorton Kerper and husband Julius.

Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Bro. Steven Bricker of the First Baptist Church of Campbell officiating.

Burial followed in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Timothy Olds, Jess Nolte, Sam Boyd, Nathan Little, Rogers Eason and Doug Speer.

Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
