Juanita Horner

Juanita Horner, 89, of Mabelvale, formerly of Rector, died Friday, April 6, 2007.

Born Sept. 10, 1917, in Arbyrd, Mo., to the late Joe Oldrham and Dora Hyde Oldrham, she was a homemaker and a member of Cappadocia General Baptist Church. She was married Oct. 7, 1933, to Marvin Horner, who preceded her in death in January 1994.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Larry Horner and Eugene Horner; three brothers, Joe Oldrham, Bill White and Jimmy White; one great-granddaughter, Heidi Richey, and one daughter-in-law, Patricia Horner.

Survivors include three sons, Hershel Wayne Horner of Germantown, Tenn., Harold Horner of Southaven, Miss., and Terry Max Horner of Springfield, Ill.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Max Nelson of Rector, Janice and Bob Plant of Rector and Sandra and Don White of Mabelvale; one sister, Betty Gray of Flint, Mich., 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Marston Carpenter and Bro. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Mark Horner, James Horner, Ricky Inklebarger, Jeramy Richey, Kyle Richey and Drew Porter. Honorary pallbearers were Dillard Sherrill, Gary Richey, Stan Moleski, David Whisel, Tim Porter, Cody Norman and Bill Benner.
