Alma Faye McNeely

Alma Faye McNeely, 78, of Pollard, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Mrs. McNeely was born October 25, 1928, in Boydsville. She was the daughter of the late James and Flora (Cox) McKenney. She was united in marriage February 5, 1948 to James Don McNeely in Piggott. A life long resident of Pollard, she was a retired factory worker, homemaker, seamstress and was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church. She was involved with the East Arkansas on Aging, and was a Hospice and Literacy volunteer.

Survivors include one son, Don L. McNeeley and wife Debby of Pollard, daughter, Carol Rhein and husband Robert of Jonesboro, six grandchildren, Jerri Rhein Seabaugh, Andrew Rhein, Misty McNeely, Jason Rhein, Robin Rhein Baxter and Willy McNeely, one great grandchild, Suzanne Elise Seabaugh, two brothers Roy McKenney of Rector, and Oscar McKenney of St. Louis, and one sister, Lois Williams of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Don McNeely in 1991, one daughter, Janet Kriner, two brothers and two sisters.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Irby Funeral Home in Piggott with Bro. Danny Self officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Marshall Little, Jerry Little, Charles Wilson, Glen Wilson, Larry Patterson and Wayne Allmon. Honorary pallbearers were Cliff Patterson, Owen Little, Don Dillard, Joe Tate and Jack Forrest.

Arrangements were by Irby Funeral Home in Piggott.
