Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Rector to the late Hugh Hill and Mae Grogan, he was a linotype operator for the St. Louis Post and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Delbert, Denzil and Avery Hill, and three sisters, Floy, Ann and Avis.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Johnstone; four grandchildren, Cody, Amy, Megan and Nichole; one brother, J.B. Hill of Searcy, and one sister, Wilma Houston of Kennett.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with David Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
