Earlene M. Dickerson

Earlene M. Dickerson, 92, of Piggott, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 at the Northeast Arkansas Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Feb. 15, 1915 in Rector, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Riley and Josiphene Graves Price.

She was united in marriage to Everett Dickerson on Oct. 5, 1934, to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; one son, James; two sisters, Lucille and Evelyn; one brother, Harold.

She is survived by one son Arliss Dickerson and wife Sue of Jonesboro; two grandchildren: Kara Mayfield and husband Mark of Jonesboro; Lane Adams and husband Mark, of Springdale; two great grandchildren; Victoria and Celia Mayfield and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Tuesday, and funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Piggott, with Rev. Lee Walton and Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Pallbearers were Tommy Hardcastle, Travis Boyd, Bobby Shanklin, Don Featherston, Thomas Sneed and Darrell Gossett. Burial will be in the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott were in charge of the arrangements. Memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church in Piggott.
