He was born March 24, 1928, in Brighton, Ark., to the late Myrle and Beatrice Shatley Fielder. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a retired farmer and truck driver and was a member of Solid Rock non denominational church in Kennett.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Peggy Lou Davidson Fielder; one brother, Jim Fielder, and one sister, Venetta Higgins.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Renay and Rick Farmer of Marmaduke, Beverly and Charles Bearden of Boydsville and Karen and John Tracy III of Gideon, Mo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael V. and Pamela Fielder of Franklin Grove, Ill.; two brothers, Bobby Fielder of Hudson, Fla., and Jack Fielder of Clinton; one sister, Nancy Bull of Springfield, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Rev. Allan Gentry officiating. Heath Funeral Home of Paragould was in charge of arrangements.
His grandchildren served as pallbearers.
