Faye Irene Easton

Faye Irene Easton, 84, of Rector died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

A lifelong resident of this area, she was born Jan. 19, 1922, to the late Ada Bell (Wyatt) and Arthur Vangilder. She was married May 27, 1942, to Carl Easton, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2002.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, Ivalene Lankford, and two brothers, Willie Vangilder and Jessie Vangilder.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Mary Kay Easton of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Lee of Eads, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Neeley Williams and Shad Easton of Farmington, Dee Dee Easton of Lexington, Ky., Sonya Pollard of Memphis, Tenn., and Samantha Teeple of Lakeland, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Easton, Jansen Williams, Katie Lipscomb and Jackson Pollard; a fifth great-grandchild due any time, Hannah Pollard; five step-grandchildren, Jason Bailey of Los Angeles, Calif., Katie Bailey of Fayetteville, Kelsie Bailey-Hughes of Charleston, S.C., and Amber Lee and Ronnie Lee Jr. of Memphis, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Adrian Parker officiating. Burial was in Purcell Cemetery at Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Alvin Vangilder, Andy Vangilder, Bill Vangilder, James Vangilder, Joe Vangilder and George Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Dwight Vangilder.
