Byron Yancey

Born March 13, 1950, in Belk to the late Homer Yancey and Ollie Barrett, he was an employee of Glaizer Installed Glass and of the General Baptist faith.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle and Elmer Yancey, and two sisters, Velma Faye and Savannah Kay Yancey.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Yancey; one daughter, Lisa Cantrell of Vernon, Ala.; one granddaughter, Brooke Cantrell; four brothers, Omer Yancey of Corning, Bill Yancey of Nevada, Paul Yancey of Rector and Ora Yancey of Paragould, and two sisters, Dorothy Johnston of Missouri and Mavis Yancey of Arizona.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with David Floyd officiating. Burial was in Parks Cemetery near Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Roger Foster, Ronnie and Jamie Floyd, Gene Yancey and Jack Johnston.
