Edith Alene Hargrave, 73, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in Harlingen, Texas.

She was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Rector to the late Clyde Gaylon and Mattie Evelyn (Rodgers) Jennings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berlie "Buddy" Hargrave, on Dec. 25, 1998; a daughter, Linda Darlene Hargrave, and two brothers, Frank Lane and Earl Wayne Jennings.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jim Kennedy of Harlingen, Texas; a sister-in-law, Zel Lane; four nieces, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Roger Armstrong officiating.
