Freeda Pearl Taylor

Freeda Pearl Taylor, age 90, of Jonesboro, formerly of Rector, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Taylor was born Dec. 18, 1915, in Clay County to the late Oscar and Delilah (Trantham) Hill and was married to S.D. "Dutch" Taylor, who preceded her in death in 1995.

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Raymond Hill, and four sisters, Cleva Robinson, Lois Parks, Veda Dale and Quara Todd.

She was a homemaker and a member of Cappadocia General Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Dana Brewer of Jonesboro; one brother, R.L. Hill of Marmaduke, and two sisters, Henrietta Dale of Rector and Mary Cooper of Jonesboro, formerly of Rector; two granddaughters, Angela Davis and Shannon Trujillo, and five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Josh, Jordan, Hunter and Miranda.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Ronnie Stevens and Bro. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Hill, Barry Hill, Keith Hill, Jerry Cooper, Dupree Davis and Josh Davis.
