Louise Virginia Politte-Vaught

Louise Virginia Politte-Vaught, 80, of Zalma, Mo., formerly of the Rector area, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Daughter of the late Adolph Vollu DeWess and Rebecca Virginia (Skyrme) DeWess, she was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Newport. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Homer Vaught, of the home; four daughters, Carolyn Campbell of Wappapello, Mo., Brenda Moore of Salem, Mo., Kay Vaught of Wappapello and Rebecca Politte of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, Barbara Beam, Gary Marcum, Alonzo Moore, Melinda White, Joseph Vaught and Jerecca Stevenson, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, A.V. and Junior DeWess.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, July 3, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with David Floyd officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Rector. Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
