Geneva (Box) McCarty, 75, of Rector died Thursday, June 29, 2006, in Paragould.

She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Walnut Ridge to the late Joe and Lula Brooks Box.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and she truly enjoyed shopping.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, George McCarty; her step-mother, Ruth Box; one brother, Joe Box, and one grandchild, Jessica Marie McCarty.

Survivors include one son, George McCarty of Pollard; two daughters, Mary Kersey of Rector and Gail Gallway of Paragould; two sisters, Fern Snider of Rector and Janelle Marvin of Beech Grove; seven grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca, Renee, Troy, Lee, Dakota and Gary, and five great-grandchildren, Dustin, Derrick, Terri, Jordan and Dominic.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, at Willis Cemetery in Harrisburg with Rev. Tommy Newman officiating. Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
