Christene Tucker, 71, of Southaven, Miss., a native of Rector, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at her home.

Born Oct. 13, 1934, in Rector, to the late Vivian Presson and Oreor (Oliver) Presson, she was a retired school teacher and of the Methodist faith. She was married June 4, 1955, in Marmaduke to Larry Tucker.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Troy Presson.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; one son, Keith Tucker of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Suzanne and Dwight Weaver of Southaven, and one grandson, Joseph Weaver.

Graveside services were at 5 p.m. Monday, April 3, at Woodland Heights Cemetery with Bro. Larry Martineau officiating. Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
