Born Aug. 28, 1920, in the Friendship Township, he retired from Buick in Flint, Mich., and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Stout; his parents, Frank and Mattie Stout; three children, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, James Stout of Corning; one daughter, Paula Chaut of Arkansas; one brother, Arlan Caroll of Flint; one sister, Thelma Stout of Flint, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Rev. Dennis Scudder officiating. Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery with Pocahontas VFW Post 4456 providing military honors.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould was in charge of arrangements.
