Donald Ollie Johnson

Donald Ollie Johnson, 82, of Rector died Saturday, April 8, 2006.

Born May 8, 1923, in Rector to the late John Franklin Johnson and Margie Alice (Seegraves) Johnson, he was a truck driver-fleet carrier, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of this community.

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline (Johnson) Wagster.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Johnson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Lynn and Ruby Johnson and Donald Jason and Ashley Johnson, all of Rector; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna and Beryl Whiteside and Linda Marie Johnson, all of Rector; two brothers, Kenneth Earl Johnson of Rector and Gerald Armond Johnson of Pine Bluff; one sister, Wilma Louise Lucy of Rector; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Gary, Kelly, Tracy and Sarah; two step-grandchildren, Toshya and Eric, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Paul Seegraves and Bro. Marvin Adell Foster officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Gary Whiteside, Tracy Johnson, Scott Reynolds, Randall Lucy and Jack Seegraves.
