Rena Dollie (Guthrie) Eagle, a native of Rector, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, in Bakersfield, Calif.

She was born March 22, 1920, to the late T.F. and Lela (Sanders) Guthrie. She was raised in the White Oak Community, where she met and married Deward Eagle in 1943. He preceded her in death, along with a daughter, Linda; an infant son, Deward Wesley, and nine brothers and sisters, Littie Goldsmith, Rachel Fisk, Flossie Greene, Imogene Murray, Pansy Shrout, Denzil, Silas, Robert, Calvin and Luther Guthrie.

Survivors include one son, Gary; two daughters, Betty Dawer and Barbara Handley of California; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Guthrie of Paragould and Eugene Guthrie of Kennett; three sisters, Irma Shelton of Paragould, Betty Cordell and Mary Curtis both of Rector, and one sister-in-law, Garnetta Galyean of Piggott.
