She was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Langley, Ark., to the late Thomas Mark Smith and Nora (Burkhead) Smith and was married to Ira Hayes, who preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1990. She then married Paul Ogden of Campbell.
Mrs. Ogden was a homemaker and worked as a beautician in her younger years. She attended the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Don Ogden, and one daughter, Sharon (Hayes) Bowman on June 11, 1967.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Ogden of Campbell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doyne and Dana Hayes of Sedgwick and Tommy and Rose Marie Hayes of Paragould; one stepson and two stepdaughters-in-law, Danny and Ruby Ogden and Carolyn Ogden; one brother, John W. Smith of Gordonsville, Mo.; six grandchildren, Sharon DuBar, Joel David Hayes, Jana Lyn Schimming, Bradley Thomas Hayes, Ashley Beth Birch and Jeremy Todd Hayes; four step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector. Speakers will be her grandchildren. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Pallbearers will be Joel Hayes, Brad Hayes, Jeremy Hayes, Adam Birch, Wade Schimming, Rodney Ogden and Arthur Ogden.
