Sally Lou Hopper, 72, of Rector, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, Colo.

Born March 5, 1934, in Walnut Ridge to the late Albert Long and Audrie (King) Long, she was owner/operator of the Sears Store in Rector and was a member of Rector First United Methodist Church.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Billy Carson Hopper, and one sister, Sue Bucy.

She is survived by one son who loved her dearly, Jeff Hopper of Denver; one brother, Charles Long of Beebe, and two sisters, Sandra Russell of Rector and Cindy Cooper of Bee Branch.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Rector with Rev. Larry Martineau officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Matt Cooper, Justin Cooper, Zac Morris, Bud Gray, Mike Long and Jerry Lawrence.
