James Curtis "Jay" Wolfenbarger II

James Curtis "Jay" Wolfenbarger II, 68, of Rector died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Dec. 8, 1937, in Knoxville, Tenn., to the late James Curtis Wolfenbarger and Willie Mae (Capps) Wolfenbarger, he was a tree trimmer for Asplundh, a veteran of the Army and was of the General Baptist faith.

He had spent most of his life in this community. He was married Nov. 4, 1977, to the former Nelda Chilcutt. He also was preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda, of the home; six sons, James Wolfenbarger and David Robinson, both of Paragould, Mark Robinson of Jonesboro, Steven Wolfenbarger, Jason Wolfenbarger and Jeffrey Wolfenbarger, all of Rector; three sisters, Ann Kennedy of Marmaduke, Carol Nordmeyer of Marmaduke and Louise McCann of Chesapeake, Va., and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the First General Baptist Church of Rector with Bro. Marston Carpenter and Bro. David Floyd officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were David Robinson, Mark Robinson, Steven Wolfenbarger, Jason Wolfenbarger, Jeffrey Wolfenbarger and Gerald McClung.
