Ruby Lee Shelton, 91, of Woodlawn, Ill., formerly of Rector, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at her home.

She was born June 26, 1914, in Rector to the late Carlos and Minnie Klutts. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Ezra Shelton, and two sisters, Maggie Clarida and Louise Allen.

She was a homemaker and was of the General Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Harold Shelton of Houston, Texas; an ex-daughter-in-law, Hellen Shelton of Woodlawn, Ill.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Futrell Butler officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kevin Shelton, Barry Shelton, Craig Shelton and Michael McKinley.
